Eunice Woods is a Chicago-based actor who has called the Windy City home since 2011. She originally hails from Jacksonville, Florida where she studied theatre throughout grade school. She later moved to Boston to earn her BFA in Theatre Arts at Boston University. There, she also minored in Spanish and Dance. After graduating, Eunice moved to Spain where she taught English in public schools and further developed her Spanish language skills. After spending two years abroad, Eunice came to Chicago to focus on acting.
Eunice seeks out work that challenges her as an artist as well as creates meaningful experiences for audiences. Her favorite productions are those that push people to think outside their comfort zone and that feature underrepresented perspectives. Her multiple interests have allowed her to collaborate on a range of exciting and unique projects. Some of her favorites include Mfoniso Udofia’s Her Portmanteaudirected by Victor Malana Maog at American Conservatory Theater, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Timedirected by Jonathan Berry at Steppenwolf Theatre Company, No Blue Memories: The Life of Gwendolyn Brooksdirected by Sarah Fornace at Manual Cinema and The Project(s)co-written and directed by PJ Paparelli at American Theater Company.
She’s had the pleasure of working with numerous other theater companies in Chicago including the Goodman Theatre, Writers Theatre, American Blues Theater, and Steep Theatre to name a few. Eunice’s has also appeared on episodes of Chicago P.D. and Shameless.
Eunice is an avid reader and has a passion for travel and dance. She enjoys visiting new places and learning about different cultures! So when she’s not performing, you’ll most likely find her somewhere with her head in a book, or jet setting across the globe or making moves on the dance floor!
